You might be already familiar with the terms gypsum board, plasterboard, and Sheetrock, which all come with a common standard size of 4’ x 8’ with a ¼” (6.35mm) thickness. At ECC Construction Group Inc, we install all types of drywall sheet sizes depending on the wall areas and tailored to your specific needs whether it is a small home or a large commercial warehouse. These include 4’ x 10’ with 3/8” (9.52mm) thickness, 4’ x 12’ with a 1/2” (12.7mm) thickness and 4’ x 14’ with a 5/8” (15.9mm) thickness for walls of all shapes and heights. The thickness of drywall that your project needs will depend on the fire rating that it must meet. 1/2” drywall is sufficient for a 30 minute rating but a 1 hour fire rating will require 5/8” boards. From standard to specialty types, we cover all kinds of drywall boards. We install moisture-resistant drywall such as Greenboard or DensShield, and we also install fire-resistant drywall installations including Type X which is commonly used in multi-unit residential applications.
